To me, Behind the Delicacy explains the difference in perspectives from the inside reality of a situation and the external factors they tend to put out. This experience of Perspectives will show both sides of every encounter and experience we have.
I envisioned fashion impacts our mood and understanding of society, and the two are deeply intertwined. I created a fashion look where the model is shown as delicate, pure, and beautiful (through her tight ballet clothes). Over her clothes there are things that are falling apart, her tights and makeup, she has another side to her behind her delicate persona she must play in ballet and in today's society.
To find a look that connected with perspective and experience, I thought about my own personal experience. Dance is a very pretty form of self-expression, but often times there is a very dark side to da
THE FINAL LOOK! If I had an opportunity to style someone, I would choose Coco Rocha for this shoot because of her ballet history, as well as her human structure. This editorial shoot would take place in the studio at the School of American Ballet in New York City. She would be wearing a typical ballerina outfit with delicate designs of crystals and esquitie stitching, but under her ballet leotard
Different from my past exhibits, this shoot would have makeup and hair done by the model herself to truly show the reality of being human. I think that if I were given the opportunity to work with these talents in the circumstances listed, the individuality within the human (by doing her own enhancements) will truly connect the experience to the audience. To take this shoot, I would love to work with Luis Pons. This photographer is well known within the photographers community as he works well with his camera. Luis is known for shooting with ballerinas and is very good at capturing the rawness within the ballet. He finds balance, beauty, shadows, reality, and highlights all within his photoshoots. He is honorable.
